Why are my periods dibilatating, is it because of my crohn's & fibromyalgia?

Probably yes: Any stressful event like a febrile illness, virus infection, trauma, surgery or depression can worsen the symptoms of fibromyalgia syndrome. Similarly the symptoms of painful menstruation (dysmenorrhea) can be more severe in the presence of fibromyalgia syndrome. Talk to your gynecologist who may recommend oral contraceptives that will relieve the dysmenorrhea.

Fibromyalgia: Painful periods common in women with fibromyalgia. Imo unifying mechanism is pelvic girdle joint (sacroiliac, sij) hypermobility secondary to multiple childbirths, traumatic injury, and/or joint hypermobility syndrome. Hormone relaxin, secreted with menses, magnifies ligament laxity; enlisting sij-closing transversus abdominis (ta) muscle spasm & acute iliac crest ta tendonitis, i.e., pain of pmd.
