I believe so.: Depression has often been referred to as "anger turned inward". If a person is unable or unwilling to express their anger it can emotionally eat away at them. If you believe you could have depression, please seek professional evaluation.

Suppression: Simply not thinking about something will not eliminate its effects from your life. Just curious -- do you have headaches? Your mind, emotions, and body are deeply interwoven, and what affects one area affects all. Major depression has genetic linkage, and manifests after a wide variety of things. An important factor is conflict, hurt, and disappointment with relationships (anger included).
