It should: Inflammation or infection in the bone may persist after the completion of the procedure. Have your dentist explain your situation and prescribe pain meds if otc meds aren't helping. Pain can last from a day or two to a week. Feel better soon...

Yes: It is normal to have some resedual pain and the area maybe sore when you are chewing. All of the discomfort should go away soon. It is not the same for everyone. For some people the healing is quick maybe a couple of days and for others it could be a couple of weeks . If your discomfort remains call your dentist.
