A member asked:

Had a root canal a year ago but the tooth hurts again the same as it was before - constant, especially at night but stops for a bit with cold water?

Have it re evaluated: The success rate of root canals is normally very high, but it is possible for it to get reinfected. See your dentist to see if it requires retreatment or possibly something else.

Not forever: No dental treatment is forever. Some lasts longer, but unfortunately some has short effective time span. Please see an endodontist, a root canal specialist, who is best trained and experienced to evaluate your problem and provide the most skilled treatment. Ask your dentist for an endodontic referral.
