Consult your doctor: Pain could be due to different reasons. Causes may include: trauma (fracture, ligamentous tear, arthritis), infection, metabolic conditions (gout) , musculoskeletal or biomechanical abnormality, or a neurologic conditions (neuropathy). A history and physical exam and possibly laboratory and radiology exams could determine the cause. See your doctor and voice your concerns.

Plantar fasciitis: Possible injury to the ligament that runs under the foot. If you pull your toes up then touch the underside of your foot should be able to feel the ligament. Recommend a visit to a Podiatrist to get proper evaluation and treatment.
