The uterus can be: Enlarged for several reasons, the most common are multiple pregnancies and benign smooth muscle tumors, called leiomyomata or fibroids. The findings on MRI may be incidental - meaning unexpected and generally unrelated to the patient's symptoms, but not alway unimportant. Please discuss next steps with your doctor, depending on your personal history and physical exam.
