A member asked:

Is it normal to get nosebleeds while breastfeeding? i had a c-section almost 5 weeks ago and i'm taking nurofen for the pain of the scar.

Nosebleeds: It is not normal to have a nosebleed while breast feeding you should. Have an ENT doctor check your nose and cauterize the bleeding spot. In the meantime use a fingernail dollop of Bacitracin or polysporin (bacitracin and polymyxin) in each nostril 4 to 5 times a day until the nose stops crusting. Do not pick the crusts let them slough naturally. I do not think the medicine for your scar is affecting the nose.
