Options: A 3 cm fibroid in and of itself should warrant a surgery normally. However, if her uterus tips forward, that fibroid could put pressure on her bladder and cause symptoms. Unless it is under the lining of the uterus, which is less common, it would rarely cause bleeding. But a post menopausal woman with bleeding might need hysteroscopy to look into the uterus to see the cause of bleeding.
