Anesthesiologists: Are responsible for patient welfare, safety and comfort throughout the full range of surgical experiences both in and out of the operating room. In almost all cases requiring pain control, maintenance & sustenance of normal body functions, limitation of movement and alterations of consciousness an anesthesiologist is in attendance assuring patient protection. Manage: Anesthesiologist is responsible for patient evaluation, intraop anesthesia management and immediate post op recovery. In addition anesthesiologist performs nerve blocks, provides labor epidurals, manages ICU and operating rooms unit. Also anesthesiologist participates in multiple committees ensuring patients safety and managers emergency airway problems through out the hospital.
