Is pristiq (desvenlafaxine) just a joke or does it actually work?

It works: Pristiq (desvenlafaxine) is a serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor, in the same class as venlafaxine and cymbalta. If someone finds it ineffective, they should discuss with their psychiatrist or prescribing physician, and they may need a higher dose.
