No, not enough: Neither Librium nor Pristiq (desvenlafaxine) will cover your opiate habituation or help you taper specifically from opiates. For that you will need other medicines -- and there are choices. Please see an addiction medicine and/or pain medicine physician -- both of you. Depending on what you're each taking, you may each need different amounts.

Will help: The Librium and Pristiq (desvenlafaxine) will help to moderate any withdrawal symptoms. A slowly decreasing dose to taper off will also lessen any narcotic withdrawal symptoms.
