Pristiq (desvenlafaxine): Pristiq (desvenlafaxine) is a fairly new antidepressant -- it's a metabolic product of Effexor (venlafaxine). It can be helpful with various types of depression and anxiety disorders. Some have even found it useful in menopausal hot flashes.
