Pristiq (desvenlafaxine): Most antidepressants, including pristiq, (desvenlafaxine) take at least 2-3 weeks to begin working -- maybe a little longer. Unfortunately side effects may show up a lot sooner. Hopefully you and your doctor will work together well, so that you get benefit.
