Lump in throat: A very common feeling when reflux gets to the back of the throat is "a painful lump." it is also associated with throat clearing and sometimes a gravely quality to the voice. It could be an infection of some sort or a scratch from some solid food that you ate, like a tortilla chip or pretzel. It could be a mass, too. For this reason, you shouldn't wait to get this checked.
