Sleep: A small amount of warm milk makes tryptophan which induces sleep. However, if you drink very much liquid before you go to bed, you might have to get up in the middle of the night to urinate. Hope that clarifies the seeming inconsistency. Thanks, heidi.

Milk: Small glass of warm skimmed milk @ half hour before bed is good idea.
