A member asked:

Can sclerotherapy injections be used on the nose instead of using a laser (1 wk. down time) to decrease 2 spider veins?

Laser: Use of appropriate laser will diminish the spider veins with lesser downtime. See a surgeon specializing in facial laser treatments.

Yes: Although the downtime might not be any less. Cover up makeup can always be used.

Yes: Sclerotherapy can be used on nasal veins as long as the veins are big enough to accommodate the needle. If the veins are too small then the needle will not get into them. There is no downtime from sclerotherapy on the nose or face other than possibly some bruising.

Yes can be effective: Sclerotherapy injections can be a very effective treatment on the nose veins. Like laser treatment it can take more than one. Consult with your doctor for specifics.
