Pvcs and tachycardia: Well your questions is really two parts.Firstly tachycardia, which really means rapid heartbeat more then 120 beats per minutes and has many causes which may be from heart disease or other conditions like hyperactive thyroid and certain medications. But pvcs are abnormal beats and are always due to problems in heart, and you need to see a cardiologist, it can be serious.

Sort of: These may be signs of a problem with the heart's electrical system. This can be due to damaged heart muscle, poor "wiring" pathways, electrolyte disorders. A few pvcs are ok, but ifstart chaining together, it could progress to ventricular tachycardia. There is also sick-sinus syndrome, where the heart alternates between tachy -usu a fib or flutter- and brady, which can have pvcs. Get it worked up.
