Decrease meat: Bread is fine. You need to decrease meat, fish, poultry, shell fish, clams, oysters. Also no organ meat such as liver kidney, etc... Veggies usually ok. Carbs ok. Limit alcohol. There are medications that can help lower your uric acid levels. See your primary car physician.

Low purine foods: Gout is the result of too much acid (ua) in the blood stream. Ua is there as a breakdown product from a certain protein (purine) in foods. Some foods are higher in purines- eating them raises ua.Reducing intake of those foods, reduces the levels of ua in the blood. Search " low purine diet" or "list of high purine foods".
