Possibly: In the back of the throat on both sides is a straw like tube (eustachian tube) that leads from the throat up & behind the ear. When this tube gets shut off, preventing air from equalizing pressure on both the inner & outer side of the ear (when you drink & your ears pop), what you're hearing is the air pressure balancing inside it. Acid reflux can cause tooth wear, reducing space. See a dentist!

Probably not: It sounds like the normal function of your eustation tube. The jaw popping of the TMJ is usually heard with opening and closing of the mouth and sometime a side to side motion but not with swallowing.

No: Most likely this is from your eustachian tube which connects your middle ear to your throat(pharynx). Most people have some clicking or popping when they swallow...Like me!

TMJ or ETD: Could be your TMJ popping or your eustachian tube opening and closing. If it bothers you, see an ENT doc to sort it out.
