TMJ? Unlikely: The reasons for the cold sensitivity are many. The most common are receding gums, tooth decay or tooth grinding. It would be reasonable to discuss this with your general dentist.

From the "School of Hard Knocks, Doc Style": On a long road trip late at night for work, in winter, I found a box of "Mike & Ike's candy (at three of the yummy chewy, kinda old, kinda cold, kinda hard. Still good. The chewing kept me awake 20 miles. I also sprained my TMJ jt, I found out the next day, and it hurt for 6 months! Moral. Warm up tto soften gummy candies a little first!
