It could be from TM.: It could be from a TMJ problem or you may have some arthritis starting to from in the joint. If it persists, or becomes painful consult your dentist.

Also consider: It could also be the opening and closing of you eustation tube. Either way it is not usually treated unless there is pain associated with it. Then i would consider seeing an ENT physician or a tmd specialist.
