No CT contrast when: Looking for hemorrhage (blood) in the brain or around it. This can happen with a ruptured aneurysm, or a spontaneous (or traumatic) subdural or subarachnoid hemorrhage, or even a hemorrhagic stroke. Contrast can hide the blood. Although unlikely, aneurysm is possible. Please see your doctor for a workup of this problem - could be many things, such as high blood pressure. May need MRI +/- mra.
