Any history of neck or scalp injury? Have you had an xray of your neck to determine whether there's a vertebral spur which could be pressing on the occipital nerve or root. Tight muscles can also cause pinching. A neurologist is best to consult for accurate diagnosis and treatment which could include physical therapy, wearing a soft collar, traction. . An MRI of your neck may be advised.
