Yes, I think so.: Well trained, ethical hypnotherapists have had documented success with many chronic conditions. That's a difference from acute issues. Symptom reduction is often achieved - sometimes even gone. At the least the lessons in reducing the physical impact of stress is a big help. Just be diligent in finding the therapist. Good luck!

Hypnosis, mixed bag: You would be surprised that only 5 % of human population are hypnotizable and you cannot be hypnotized unless you are a willing participant. A lot of studies have looked at hypnotherapy and results are a mixed bag. A lot depends on the hypnotherapist s /therapist expertise. Remember hypnotherapy is not considered a treatment of choice in mainstream psychiatry or medicine.
