Yes: It will work equally well if you do not take the milk thistle. The latter herb is fascinating, and one of its properties is to alter the metabolism of some of the liver poisons and drugs. Mention to your dermatologist if you're taking it.

Milk Thistle + : I checked into interactions between Accutane and milk thistle, and could find none. Do tell your dermatologist or whoever is prescribing the Accutane . . . But the milk thistle should not affect its usefulness for acne. Please be aware that in some people, Accutane may evoke serious depression.
