Low dose at start: Some dermatologists will start a patient at a low dose of Accutane and then increase it. This can prevent the flare.

Accutane is: Prescribed almost exclusively by dermatologists; so yours will have the best info regarding this product's effects. Preventing a flare with a low starting dose makes more sense than trying to block accutane's effects with a topical preparation. Consult your dermatologist for more specific info regarding these products.
