Too short: One second does not sound like a seizure. There is no obvious explanation. A sleep study may be useful to monitor brain, lung and heart before and during sleep. Discuss with your doc. There are already iphone sleep test applications that you start before sleep, obviously. They may show something during these "convulsions".
