Had an mri on the lumbar spine. the radiologist noted in his impression that i had innumerable cystic lesions on my liver. what are cystic lesions?

Liver cysts: Are benign. Sometimes many liver cysts are seen in patients with adult-type polycystic kidney disease. In the absence of known kidney problems i would not worry about this.
