Yeast vaginitis: A yeast infection can cause painful swelling of the vulvar and vaginal tissue, so i'm not surprised that you have pain. If you are on first day of treatment, it can take a few days to find relief. If you have been taking anti-fungal meds for a few days, you may have a resistant strain of yeast and you should see your doctor. You may need additional or alternative treatment. Cold pack can help.
