More information: Sounds like muscle spasm. Does pain go into arms? Why did doctor rush you to get ct?
Dr. Paxton Daniel
Radiology 40 years experience
Calcific tendonitis of the longus coli muscles is possible and the CT would show the characteristic distribution of the calcium. The condition is secondary to hydroxyapatite crystal deposition and steroids treat it.
