Unlikely: I am not sure what you mean by mess with the results, but hashimoto's is the most common cause for hypothyroidism in the us. It will not affect test results, other than thyroid levels (low thyroid). Fna can show some abnormalities, such as lymphocytes, hurthle cells, sometimes some atypia, but most of the time, one can tell malignancy when present.
