Not unusual: It is not unusual to sometimes get a bit of blood in mucus when you cough forceful or clear your throat repeatedly. Stay hydrated to thin mucus and reduce the need to cough or clear throat as much. If you are getting a teaspoon or more of blood/ bloody mucus when you cough or clear your throat, you should see you primary doctor promptly.
