There are multiple possible conditions associated. If the blood is not from the lungs, the nose and mouth are often the sources of bleeding. Pulmonary diseases include infection, tumor, and bleeding disorders. Please see your PCP right away, monitor your temperature and discuss a chest image and TB test. Watch for brisk bleeding and if this occurs, see the Emergency Department.
