Chronic cough: Most common causes for persistent cough include 1) gastric reflux 2) postnasal drip (sinus infection? Allergy?) 3) undiagnosed asthma or copd 4) medication side effect 5) vocal cord problem. We are able to successfully treat most cases of persistent cough by focusing on these possibilities. A few screening tests are also warranted (such as a chest xray) and so seeing your physician is important

See your Dr: Blood in your sputum is a warning sign of possible cancer that should not be ignored. The source of the blood could be the lung itself, the bronchial tree, the sinuses or the nasopharyngeal area or throat. It often turns out to be due to nothing serious BUT it's best to consult your physician. Best to be safe than sorry. Lets hope it is indeed nothing serious. Best Wishes
