Takes time: You most likely had surgery. These types of fractures do take time to heal completely. Also things like weight, activity level, general health, etc... All come into play when trying to predict rate of healing. If you are concerned about slow healing ask your doctor if you might benefit from physical therapy. Good luck.

Up to 1 year: Glad you are healing appropriately for your age and gender, but healing can take up to 1 year until swelling completely dissipates. Some people can heal and recover quicker, but usually 3-4 months for the fracture to heal, while total 6-8 months for recovery. Hope this helps.

It Varies : Some people swell longer than others. Those that are obese, have hypertension , consume alcohol and salt will swell longer. 13 weeks isn't very long with that type of fracture. Give it a minimum of 6 months.
