Mucusy discharge is : Not uncommon with uc.Its the diseased inner lining of rectum and colon which sloughs off and gets excreted.I see you are on Prednisone along with asacol (mesalamine).If you start having increase bloody discharge, fevers, abdominal pain and diarrhes in excess of 8-10 bm then thats a concern.Your symptomsdont sound like a flare up esp. If you r passing normal stools. Its not usually ulcers but worsening inflamma.
