What can cause white glob in stool? it's not the clear mucus i get at the end the stool. also have upper right ab pain, which doc thinks is an ulcer

Mystery Stool Glob: Without a visual or a better description, can't say. It could be undigested food, a pill, even a parasite. Can't rule out mucus, either. I'm more concerned that ur md thinks u have an ulcer. A symptomatic ulcer in a 22-year old needs to be worked up. I assume you have or will make an appointment with a gastroenterologist.

Poss ulcer, but.....: Abdominal complaints and mucus in stool also could suggest the presence of inflammatory bowel disease. It is more common in younger females with fair complexion, but occurs in also in any race, sex, and age. If symptoms do not resolve with ulcer managment, need to see a gastroentrologist for a scope examination.
