Many causes of this: The most common cause of such pain is heel spur syndrome/plantar fasciitis. But there are other possibilities as to what is going on, such as a bone cyst. When something hurts so bad that you cannot bear weight, it needs to be x-rayed. A podiatrist evaluates and treats such conditions on a daily basis. There are so many treatments available to get rid of such pain and the cause of this pain.

Fracture or PF.: Could be many things, but some of the most likely are a stress fracture, tendinitis, nerve entrapment, gout, or plantar fasciitis. The best way to know is to get an x-ray of your foot. Another clue is when it hurts: stress fractures are all the time, while pf hurts most with the first few steps in the morning, or after sitting for a long time.
