A member asked:

I was prescribed cortisone cream for my face for only 7 days, what happens if i use it for longer time, for sever redness. it just cleared 75% of it.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Skin damage: Long term use of topical steroid creams can cause skin damage (atrophy), particularly on areas with thin skin such as face. This is more pronounced with the stronger steroid creams. Always follow up with your doctor particularly if the rash is not improving.
