Got 1 cold sore 3 yrs ago and now keep valtrex to take any time i feel that sensation - have had no outbreak since. for 2 weeks now, my lip has been tingling in same spot - ive taken valtrex daily but it is still tingling. is this a cold sore or ?

A cold sore would have erupted in a couple of days from the prodromal symptoms. You may wish to try stopping the medication. Topical medication is available, if you develop a sore.
