Heel spur or : Plantar fascitis could be the cause of your pain or the biomechanics of your feet may be off. Consult local podiatrist.

Heel pain: When you have pain at the heel, it could be from several causes. Most common is plantar fasciitis, other causes are stress fracture, nerve impingement, flexor hallus muscle belly inflammation, fat pad atrophy, systemic inflammatory disorders (anklosying spondolitis, reactive arthritis syndrome, etc). Hope that answers your question.

Fasciitis: By far the most common cause of heel pain is plantar fasciitis. This usually hurts even more after a walk or run when you get up after sitting ( and in the morning) try stretching, icing, over the counter heel cushions, antiinflammatories and evaluate your walking / running shoes for wear. If these measures fail then i would see a podiatrist . Good luck.
