Heel pain: If most of the discomfort is in the bottom of the heel and foot rather than the ankle itself, plantar fasciitis is the likely problem. This discomfort is usually most severe first thing in the morning when you step on the floor. It is a long drawn out inflammatory process. I recommend a podiatrist for diagnosis and treatment.
