Swimming: You do not provide info re diagnosis, but generically, exercising in water removes the stress of gravity, and is usually tolerated far better in pts with similar problems to yours. Not only swimming but water aerobics might help, and a variety of rehab therapists supervise such sessions. Might consider yoga as another direction.
