Can plantar fasciitis come on in one day all of the sudden, or does it slowly build up over time?

Varies: Plantar fascia is thick fibrous band of connective tissue originating on the bottom surface of the calcaneus (heel bone) and extending along sole of the foot towards the toes. Usually gradual.I personally had sudden plantar fasciti.S walking off curb of a street. Most people with plantar fasciitis have pain when they take their first steps after sitting or standing a long time.High and flat arches.
