No: Dysmenorrhea - painful menses - can be caused by a number of things, including endometriosis, uterine fibroids, or certain other problems. An ovarian cyst may cause some pelvic pain, though not specifically dysmenorrhea. An ultrasound would be one way to find this out. Good luck.
