No: Ovarian drilling is very rare now. First it kills lots of your eggs so you may have infertility from it and may have an earlier menopause. Also it can cause scar tissue in your belly which can cause more pain symptoms. PCOS should not cause painful periods unless they are very heavy and irregular. Likely you would benefit from seeing a specialist
