You shouldn't.......: You should not need an admission unless you have an untreatable cause for pain, or an incurable disease. Your diagnosis is key, and you have not specified your diagnosis or pain location. Hence, a generic answer!

Thanks for asking!: Need for admission will be determined by the treating physician. Nowadays, there are effective outpatient treatment options for various types of pain.
