Not likely: Ovarian cysts are exceedingly common and usually benign. The size you indicate (about 1 inch) is well within the range for normal ovaries. Your doctor can recheck the ovaries in 4 to 6 weeks. If the cysts are normal they will be changing and over time will go away, but be repaced with more cysts. If the cysts are not normal, they will continue to enlarge and would eventually require treatment.
