A member asked:

Can you get diabetes from eating to much sugar?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: No one has ever developed diabetes from eating too much sugar, that's a popular misconception. It's too many calories and not enough activity that cause the weight gain that predisposes to diabetes - particularly if you have a positive family history and get older. Weight is the most important factor!
