Biopsy: In most instances, cancer is confirmed with a biopsy. If you have a lesion that has not healed, see an oral surgeon.

By a biopsy: The actual final diagnosis of oral cancer can only be made by a biopsy. If concerned, see your dentist for medical history and physical and oral exam.
